On Cars 2

Blatting about: life[first scene - spy movie sendup]8yo: how do they get all that stuff on the car? It's not big enough.[at some point during sweeping cinematographic scenes]8yo: how do cars grow? How do cars make stuff anyway?Husband: ...you're thinking too much into a movie that has talking cars.More specifically: stuff kids say...

Working the torso

Blatting about: AEfter RagnarokSo I'm hideously slow on WiP shots.  Part of it is because I'm feeling a distinct pointlessness in them (there are many characters and whatnot to come) and most of it is simply because I keep putting off taking the screenshot when I think about it, and then eventually forget.Every now and again though I need to...

!schooling 0000E25c - F02n | 6-10 May

Blatting about: home educationThis weekly stuff is tiring.  Seriously who reads this anyway? May just start hiding them as I still kind of need to write them.  Anyway.Bit of a slow week this week as the kids all caught a cold and I spent a couple of days heroically fending it off. The kids wanted me to teach them how to draw.  Actually what...

Studio bek

Blatting about: AEfter RagnarokMy loving husband has told me on many occasions that I'm certifiably insane.  While not exclusively so a lot of it has to do with the whole trying to be a studio around homeschooling, webmonkeying, being the one at home so having to manage the house and all the associated miscellany.Recently I decided to muck...

!schooling 0000E18c - E22n | Apr 30 - May 3

Blatting about: home educationOur garlic bulb has grown quite large but is now looking a bit limp and sad.  Got the kids to draw it again (still have to find where Tao put his first diagram).  Tao's writing is improving a lot.  Got him to work out the perimeter and area (both of just the floor and the entire building) of a building he was...

Ear wip

Blatting about: AEfter RagnarokGood enough for now, I'm sure I'll fiddle with it more as I go.  Was going to post a much earlier wip and of course it was "after I fix this, and do this bit, and what the hell is that, and..." now it's mostly done.I'm not sure if the model in my anatomy book has tiny ears, but if Red's ears look massive it's...

!schooling 0000E11c - E15n | Apr 23-26

Blatting about: home educationMonday: sick.  Fortunately there was Josh to help with maths.  Josh was making noises about wanting to do modular arithmetic.  When I passed the kids were doing basic arithmetic on the whiteboard.  Josh wasn't quite sure who was where and thought Tao knew how to carry 10s.  I said we were working on carrying 10s,...

The Writing on the Wall

Captainfusion
I think he was modelled like that. :-)
Dualmask
I struggled with this a lot. In the end I just had to say to my client, "Hey, this is the best I can do, you like it?" He did, so, yeah. Emotion: smile.gif
Dualmask
A few folks expressed they liked her best. I was marathon drawing that day and she was the last one I did; no surprise she turned out best. Emotion: smile.gif
Dualmask
Thanks! The sash was just going to be one of those random Ms. Marvel things at first, but then, yeah, I remembered her sword needed a scabbard so it all worked out. Emotion: wink.gif
kateschultzy
hahaha omg I know. I have no idea what happened. But I do see some verts that can be moved in the model itself. The turn around video looks better.
Dualmask
Ah. If only your critique came one day sooner. Unable to figure out exactly how to make it better, I gave up and just went on and colored it. The client liked it and I don't have time to be a perfectionist when I have such a huge backlog, so it's just going to have to be as is. The irony is the middle pose is the one I had the most trouble with, and the one I believed in the least.
Dualmask
It's not entirely my fault. I get clients literally asking for these crazy poses. Honest! Emotion: biggrin.gif In fact, my previous image of a gun toting inverted girl inspired another client to hire me to create the exact same pose again! At least the latest one wields a spear instead of guns...

I have a pretty good mentor that guided me through the session Emotion: smile.gif

I 'm trying out Manga Studio . Quite cool !

I'm starting to realize these Random Practice Babes are becoming less random, less practice-y, and perhaps even less babe-like. Time to find a new outlet perhaps. Emotion: smile.gif

Floating cities are always fun though...I see them a lot in sci-fi art and the thought is always the same...what keeps them aloft, and what happens if there's even a slight malfunction? Maybe that's something to explore in a story.
kateschultzy
hheh, it turns out nice in the end and needs lots of patience.

Hey, a lot of Jet Dancer's fans are women, strangely enough, and they were the most vocal about NOT changing her outfit into the one with more coverage. Emotion: wink.gif I guess sometimes there's a place for impractical outfits in fantasy.
Dualmask
And I shall continue to cleverly deflect such questions! Emotion: biggrin.gif
Dualmask
It's always nice to see how others render my characters, and the price was right this time. Emotion: smile.gif

Her pants are staying on by the magic of "imagination"! *Outstretches arms like Spongebob* =p
