  • Where is everyone? Lurking. And generally only participating in things that look interesting as I usually only have one hand with which to type, as if I have both hands free I'm 3d-ing, as 3d is the only thing I can't do with one hand 2 weeks ago / Total Posts: 25
  • How do you roll? djnido: yeh bet you're impossible to miss at work (unless you are actually missing XD) MastahChef: Nice skaties The second one looks like my husband's battleaxe of a skateboard that weighed a metric buttload and that I couldn't olly (not 2 weeks ago / Total Posts: 12
  • Subbmission Tags I'm under the impression people feel funny about tagging other people's stuff, seems to be a breach of some netiquette thing which probably stems from the tendency of juvenile fuckwits suffering intense delusions of coolness when they plaster 3 weeks ago / Total Posts: 4
  • GERMAN ARTIST Welcome on board. Like what you've done to the profile itself I'm not sure whether to take the photos as "this is what happens to people who displease me" or "important secret ritual" 3 weeks ago / Total Posts: 8

  • Replying to comments Wall to wall works just as well for long running conversations, may even encourage more communication (think the way it is atm discourages anything more than quick hello I love your gallery type comments). The customisation thing didn't occur to 2 months ago / Total Posts: 6
  • Replying to comments Sorry, these were for submission comments. If you go to a submisission and hit reply on the comment, they thread. If you use the ajax reply in the message centre on the same submission comment (seeing as they helpfully crop up there too), they post 2 months ago / Total Posts: 6
  • Replying to comments New message centre is great However when I hit "reply" to a comment, it posts to the person's userpage instead of to the comment, and had some comments posted to mine instead of to the comments I think they were intending to reply to. 2 months ago / Total Posts: 6
  • New Frontpage No that was fine, it was the "mark as read" thing I was missing, it wasn't there in the morning (when I usually check in) and was there in the afternoon (where I check in when I'm procrastinating doing something else), so either I 2 months ago / Total Posts: 11
  • New Frontpage Wow, ask and you shall receive, either that or it just wasn't working for me before. Things can now be marked! Thanking you again regardless of whether it was just added today or my browser is retarded 2 months ago / Total Posts: 11
  • "Do this in [medium of choice] instead!" Assuming the observer in question isn't completely self-absorbed and can't think outside their own little box, and allowing for bias toward their preferred medium, it's possible that they may be trying to work out what it is you're 2 months ago / Total Posts: 3
  • New Frontpage I kinda used the activity feed but yeh everything was a ilttle all over the place Amusingly I usually have Artician and dA in adjacent tabs so my first impression was that it kinda looks like dA's message centre. I think it's prettier though, 2 months ago / Total Posts: 11

  • deviantART much? If facebook is an image of myspace and gmail is an image of hotmail and that vast multitude of blogging sites are images of each other then yes, Artician is an image of dA 2 months ago / Total Posts: 10
  • Critiques needed. :) And what is wrong with playing with colours? It's a parrot so I have no idea what they're "supposed" to look like except colourful, and I quite like the colour blends an the feather definition. Feel free to take anything I say with a 3 months ago / Total Posts: 2
  • What do you do to relieve stress? 3d. Or code if I'm not too angry. So I may be slightly lame. If all else fails, make like a 4yo and have a tantrum 4 months ago / Total Posts: 23
  • Comment On Each Other's Works I find any comment that requires slightly more effort than "wow" etc plenty worthwhile (although I see no harm in the occasional ego stroke XD) 4 months ago / Total Posts: 5
  • Comment On Each Other's Works I don't have anything worth commenting but usually quite happy to trawl Commented the two in question with stuff that probably isn't that useful, very slowly creeping through your other stuff (as I am actually meant to be finishing up some 4 months ago / Total Posts: 5

  • Let's get this place going. Cutting code. Would much rather be 3d-ing but sick of website hanging over my head, plus it being out of the way before I have to focus on the one I'm getting paid for would be handy What are you doing? 5 months ago / Total Posts: 22
  • confuzzled ..digital painting problem I don't know if you were already but use the soft edge not pressure sensitive brush, and don't be afraid to give it some vicious highlights? All theoretical knowledge, I am not very good at cars! 5 months ago / Total Posts: 3
  • Childrens book: digital or traditional? I was assuming just the illustrations. I'd take a book over an ebook any day, much easier to read books to my kids as I need to point to the words 6 months ago / Total Posts: 19
  • children can you say "quarantine" I heard a conspiracy that swine flu was developed by the gov D: Seriously in and of itself it's a flu. Like every other flu on the planet it may make you wish you were dead if it's one of the nasty ones that can put you out for a week or two 6 months ago / Total Posts: 7
  • Childrens book: digital or traditional? I apologise if I came across as snarky too. I'd say Aven votes traditional because he prefers it If it helps any my kids and their friends seem to like bright colours but aren't big on big flat areas of colours (which I have been told in no 6 months ago / Total Posts: 19
  • Childrens book: digital or traditional? Kids don't necessarily "feel more comfortable with drawings". Tribal societies don't necessarily have cartoons or even a lot of exposure to cave paintings I think the real reason there re so many cartoons is coz trying to organise 6 months ago / Total Posts: 19
  • Childrens book: digital or traditional? I think it's mostly because adults get these ideas in their heads about what kids should like and it's not necessarily true 6 months ago / Total Posts: 19
  • Childrens book: digital or traditional? Depends (like everything else). Maybe it's because they get inundated with it due to the fact I'm a 3d "artist" (I use the term very loosely here) and my sister is a Flash artist but my kids (nearly 5 and nearly 3, and there's a 6 months ago / Total Posts: 19

  • Inaccurate airbrush colouration when airbrushing digitally I find you really have to work differently to replicate traditional outcomes in Photoshop than what you would do in the media you're trying to replicate. I know nothing about Painter as I've never used it but I hear it's closer to the 6 months ago / Total Posts: 1
